Another Christmas party option and another blog post inspired by my sister! I was trying to figure out what to make for a Christmas goody bag and my sister suggested I make my peppermint bark! Well she’s always right about recipe recommendations so now it’s time to share it all with you! Easy to make and a wonderful Christmas recipe!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups dark chocolate chips
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 15 mini candy canes
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Recipe:
- Put about an inch of water in a large pot and bring to a boil on the stove. Reduce to a simmer.

- Place the dark chocolate chips and milk chocolate chips in a heat-safe glass bowl. Place the bowl over the pot and be sure the water doesn’t touch the glass bowl or completely evaporate. Add the peppermint extract.
- Slowly stir the chocolate chips over the stove as they melt down to smooth.

- When you have removed the lumps, pour the melted chocolate over a baking sheet that has been covered in tin foil.

- Place the mini candy canes in a Ziploc bag and break them down into little pieces (you can use your hands, a rolling pin, or a meat hammer!). Spread them over the melted chocolate.
- Melt the white chocolate chips over the stove.

- Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the candy cane chocolate mixture.
- Refrigerate overnight. Break into pieces before serving. Enjoy!
