Marinara Sauce

Marinara sauce is a classic that can be used in loads of different recipes. This easy version calls for just a few ingredients and comes together in one pot. Serve with your favorite pasta for a quick and easy weeknight dinner!

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 bunch of basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Recipe:

  • Heat the olive oil in a pot over medium heat. Reduce heat to medium low and add the garlic. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Add the crushed tomatoes. Bring to a boil and add the Italian seasoning and oregano. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes.
  • Tear up the basil leaves and add to the sauce. Stir thoroughly and add salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy!
